Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale modified for neurotic excoriation: Validity and reliability study of Turkish version

Objective: The Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale Modified for Neurotic Excoriation (NE-YBOCS) is a valid and reliable scale used to evaluate the severity of skin picking disorder (SPD). This was validity reliability study Turkish version NE-YBOCS. Method: Eighty patients diagnosed with SPD according Diagnostic Statistical Manual Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition criteria were included study. completed sociodemographic data form, as well Beck Depression Inventory, Anxiety Skin Picking Impact Scale, Barratt Impulsiveness Eysenck Personality Questionnaire Revised-Short Form, NE-YBOCS analysis findings. Results: Exploratory factor confirmatory determined that 3-factor structure explained 74.7% variance loads 10 items sufficient had good fit index values. Criterion verified correlation between other scales. internal consistency scale, subdimensions, item-total coefficients sufficient. Conclusion: results indicated NE YBOCS can be instrument assess SPD.
